FAQ

Do you sell hospitality furniture in Australia and New Zealand?

Yes. Venue Fitout supplies cafes, pubs, restaurants and fitout companies across Australia and New Zealand. We are not a local warehouse: furniture is made to order in EASEN's own production base in Foshan, China, and shipped by sea to your nearest port, such as Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Fremantle, Adelaide or Auckland.

How long does a cafe or pub fitout order take to arrive?

Production is typically 30-45 days for standard designs and 45-60 days for custom work after drawings and samples are approved. Add sea freight from southern China, roughly two to four weeks to most Australian and NZ ports depending on the route, plus customs and biosecurity clearance. Your quote confirms the timeline.

Can you make banquettes to fit our exact walls?

Yes. Send measured wall lengths and any obstacles such as windows, power points or columns. We draw the banquette in millimetres, you approve it, and we build it in sections sized to pass through your doors and fit the space.

What is the minimum order?

Minimums are low for contract orders and confirmed per design, so a single cafe can order directly. Most clients ship a full or shared container mixing chairs, banquettes, tables and outdoor pieces, which keeps freight per item reasonable. Smaller orders can travel as LCL (shared container) freight; we will tell you in the quote which option is more economical for your volume.

Does imported furniture need fumigation for Australia?

Not automatically. Australia's biosecurity rules focus on timber packaging, container cleanliness and certain timber, cane and bamboo goods. Solid timber packaging must be ISPM 15 compliant or treated, and full container loads need a packing declaration that includes a container cleanliness statement. Requirements change, so your customs broker should check the Department of Agriculture's BICON system for your goods before shipment.

Is your outdoor furniture suitable for coastal venues?

Yes, with the right specification. We use aluminium frames that do not rust, solution-dyed weaves and stainless fixings, and recommend marine-grade coatings and 316 stainless hardware for venues near breaking surf. Even then, a regular fresh-water rinse is part of looking after outdoor furniture by the sea.

What seat and table heights do you use?

Dining chairs are typically 450-460 mm seat height for 730-750 mm tables. Counter stools are about 650 mm for 900-920 mm benches, and bar stools about 750 mm for 1,050 mm leaners. We adjust heights to suit your existing tables or joinery.

Do your fabrics meet Australian fire requirements?

We specify fire-retardant foams and contract fabrics to meet the standard your building certifier, fitout designer or insurer nominates, such as AS/NZS 3744.1 or BS 5852, and supply test reports for specific items where available. Requirements vary by building class and venue, so confirm them early in the design.

Can we supply our own fabric (COM)?

Yes. Send the fabric name, width and pattern repeat and we will calculate the metres needed per piece on the shop drawing. Choose a fabric rated for contract use, check its abrasion and fire performance for your venue, and ship it to our factory in time for production. We inspect COM fabric on arrival and flag any faults before cutting.

Can you quote delivered to our door, duties paid?

Yes. We quote FOB from China, CIF to your nearest Australian or NZ port, or DDP delivered with duties and clearance arranged. Many Australian clients prefer CIF and appoint their own licensed customs broker, who lodges the import declaration, pays GST and claims any preferential tariff. Whichever term you choose, the quote states exactly what is and is not included.

Do you supply beer garden furniture that stacks?

Yes. Most of our outdoor chairs stack, including aluminium bistro chairs, textilene mesh armchairs and moulded resin armchairs. Stacking height depends on the model and is confirmed on the drawing. Stacking chairs make nightly pack-down, hosing and storm preparation much quicker, and they need far less storage space when a beer garden is closed for winter or an event.

Can we see a sample before ordering a full fitout?

Yes. We make pre-production samples of chairs or a short banquette section, or send timber stain, fabric and powder-coat swatches for approval. Samples are quoted separately and sent by air courier, which is usually much quicker than sea freight. Many clients approve one sample of each key piece, sit on it in the venue, then confirm the full order.

What warranty do you offer?

Warranty terms depend on the product, materials and where it will be used, especially outdoors and near the coast, so they are set out in each quote rather than as one blanket figure. We explain clearly what is covered and what normal wear and weathering looks like.

Do you install furniture?

We do not have installation crews in Australia or New Zealand. Most pieces arrive assembled or need simple assembly with the guides we supply; banquettes are built in sections for your shopfitter or builder to fix in place. We support installers by video and email.
