The Manly is a conversation piece for a venue that has already decided to have fun. Both back pad and seat cushion are covered in a velvety palm-frond print, in gold-yellow on a near-black ground, with a visible piped edge on the seat.
The frame is dark-stained solid timber. Two straight back posts rise past the back pad and finish in round ball tops, a small detail that makes the chair look traditional and a little playful at the same time. The legs are thick, rounded and slightly tapering, and the seat is deep and generous.
Construction: solid hardwood frame, doweled and glued, with a plywood seat deck and high-resilience foam; back pad fixed between the posts. A seat that thick is comfortable for long lunches.
Where it works: tropical-themed bars, cafes, restaurants with a coastal or botanical fit-out, and hotel pool dining.
Care: choose a performance or wipeable fabric for high-turnover venues; patterned fabrics hide wear well.
Options: fabric (COM accepted), timber stain, glides. Dimensions are confirmed on the shop drawing.
