The Ponsonby is the dining chair for the part of the venue where guests settle in. A padded oval backrest in light grey sits on a slim dark frame, a grey upholstered seat gives proper comfort for a long lunch, and brass-toned rails sweep forward to form the arms. It reads as dressed-up without the bulk of a tub chair, so it still fits a standard dining layout.
The frame is powder-coated steel with the arm rails finished in a brushed brass tone; the seat and back are high-resilience foam covered in commercial vinyl as photographed, with fabric or leather on request. Foams and covers can be specified to the fire requirements set for your venue on request; confirm the standard with your building certifier or local fire authority.
Where it fits. Hotel bistros, wine bars, the front tables of a pub dining room, and private dining rooms where a carver at each table end lifts the setting. Pair it with our Byron All-Day Banquette for a room that moves from coffee to cocktails without looking like a different venue.
Check before you order. Arms need a table with enough clearance under the apron; allow about 650 mm of table edge per chair.
