The Rundle solves two problems in one piece: it seats guests on both sides of a central spine, and it brings greenery into the middle of a room without floor-standing pots. The double-sided booth is upholstered in a soft sage vinyl, with a vertically channelled back and a plain seat, on a walnut-tone timber plinth. A long walnut planter box sits on top of the shared back, planted in the photo with ferns and trailing ivy.
Used down the centre of a dining room, it divides the space into two zones and screens sightlines without blocking light. The planter is lined to hold pots or trays; real or artificial plants both work.
Construction: plywood and timber carcass, high-resilience foam, commercial vinyl; solid timber plinth; planter box in timber veneer with a waterproof liner and removable tray.
Where it works: restaurant dining rooms, pub bistros, food halls and hotel breakfast rooms.
Options: lengths cut to your plan, single-sided version against a wall, vinyl or fabric colours, planter depth.
