Where our Kalgoorlie chairs stand on angled legs, the Broome family sits low and square. The cushions are oversized blocks of rust-red jacquard chenille and the frames are simple, solid timber shapes in a walnut-tone stain.
Four versions are shown:
- a thick back and seat on an open timber sled frame, with the back resting in the frame
- a box seat and upright back on a solid timber plinth with slab legs
- a puffed three-channel seat and back on a sled frame
- a round bolster back on two timber uprights over a deep cushion
All are armless, which keeps them compact and lets them line up as modular lounge seating along a window or around a low table.
Construction: solid timber sled and plinth frames, glued and screwed; plywood seat decks, high-resilience foam and fibre wrap, contract chenille with piped edges.
Where it works: hotel lounges, cafe lounge corners, salons and venue foyers.
Options: frame type, stain, fabric (COM accepted); seat width can be widened to a two-seat version on request.
