Rounded, soft and a little playful, the Cottesloe family is built around one distinctive fabric: a cream jacquard covered in split dots, each half rust timber-grain, black or houndstooth. The chairs are fully upholstered with no exposed frame, sitting on a recessed dark plinth or low feet so they appear to float.
Shapes shown include a deep barrel tub with a scatter cushion, a tub with rounded pillow arms, a wraparound shell with a sloping back, an open-arm version with pinched sides, and a squarer armchair with thick rolled arms on short metal feet. All share a low, deep seat suited to lounge use.
A strong pattern like this works best as an accent: two or three chairs around a low table in a foyer or bar lounge, against plain walls and floors.
Construction: plywood and timber frame, high-resilience foam with fibre wrap, upholstered in a contract jacquard; recessed plinth or metal feet with glides.
Where it works: hotel foyers, cocktail lounges, salons and cafe lounge corners.
Options: swivel plinth on request, plain fabric versions, COM accepted.
