The Gundagai range is all about texture: a deep-pile faux shearling woven in a checkerboard of chocolate, tan and cream. The fabric is the constant; the frames vary, so you can mix shapes in one lounge and still keep it coherent. The frame shapes shown are:
- a bolster back on two flat timber uprights over a fat round seat
- a rolled bolster back over a deep seat on solid timber slab legs
- an armless slipper chair on a timber plinth with slab feet
- a channel-back armchair with fully upholstered arms and legs
- a slipper chair with curved timber side cheeks
- a box chair with an L-shaped cane side panel
- a compact slipper chair on a timber frame with tapered legs
These are low lounge seats, so they suit coffee tables and longer stays rather than dining tables.
Construction: plywood and timber frames, high-resilience foam with fibre wrap, solid timber legs and plinths in a walnut-tone stain.
Where it works: hotel lounges, cocktail bars, cafe lounge corners and boutique hotel rooms.
Options: any of the frames shown, other contract fabrics, stain colour; fire-retardant foam to the standard your certifier sets.
