The Kangaroo Valley is a freestanding bench booth built like a piece of furniture rather than a fixed joinery item. A solid walnut-tone frame sits on four square legs with a low stretcher, the high back is topped by a band of natural woven cane, and the seat and back are upholstered in a woven stripe of cream, rust, olive and terracotta. The back cushion is split into horizontal channels and the seat front curves down to a shaped timber side.
Because the booth stands on legs, it can be placed back to back down the middle of a room, run along a window or rearranged when the layout changes. The scenes show it with rectangular walnut tables on black pedestal bases, and with bentwood cane-back chairs on the open side.
Construction: solid timber frame, mortise-and-tenon joints, commercial lacquer; cane set into a routed frame; plywood seat base with high-resilience foam and contract-grade woven fabric.
Where it works: bistros, wine bars, modern Asian restaurants and cafe dining rooms.
Options: lengths for two to four guests, single or back-to-back, fabric or vinyl (COM accepted), stain to match your joinery.
