Function rooms, cafes that turn into event spaces and pubs that host trivia nights all need chairs that can be packed away. The Leederville folds flat but does not look like a stack chair from the hire company. Its seat and back are panels of woven cane set into slim timber frames, mounted on a polished chrome steel folding frame with a central pivot.
Folded, the chair is only a few centimetres deep, so a stack of them leans against a storeroom wall. Unfolded, the cane panels give it the warmth of a bistro chair and the open weave keeps it cool on warm evenings.
Construction: chrome-plated steel tube frame with riveted pivots; seat and back panels of natural cane in hardwood frames; plastic foot caps to protect floors.
Care: cane is a natural material and should be used indoors or under full cover. Keep it away from heaters and constant sun.
Where it works: function rooms, multipurpose cafes, galleries, pop-up dining and private event spaces.
Options: chrome or black frame; cane or upholstered seat panel. Final sizes confirmed on the drawing.
